A LEADING WELSH PENSIONS AND INVESTMENT SPECIALIST HAS REAFFIRMED ITS COMMITMENT TO THE OSPREYS, AGREEING A NEW COMMERCIAL DEAL THAT WILL SEE ITS LOGO FEATURE ON THE PLAYING STRIP FOR 2014/15.

The logo of WPS Financial Group, which employs 26 people across offices in Swansea and Cardiff and looks after 2,400 clients with over £247 million in investment and pension funds, will be placed on the back of the left leg of the shorts for the coming campaign. It will replace the logo of Bevan & Buckland Wealth Management, one of the WPS companies, which featured there throughout last season.

Jon Francis, Managing Director of WPS Financial Group, said:

“We are delighted to be sponsoring the Ospreys again this season. Over the last few years our relationship with the region has matured and developed and we are thoroughly enjoying being part of the Ospreylian family. It has helped open doors for us as a business and we find our association with the region helpful to the firm in many ways.

“We are excited about the direction the Ospreys have taken in recent years with their investment in youth and also community rugby in the region. The region embraces similar values to us as a business; we like their ethos of hard work and always giving back to the local community.

“The Liberty Stadium has become a second home for us and we look forward to supporting the Ospreys this season from the stands of one of the best stadiums in Wales. We wish them all the best for 2014/15.”

Bevan & Buckland Wealth Management is the official investment, planning and pension provider to Ospreys Rugby, having supplied services to the business, players and support staff since the start of 2013.

Yarnie Guthrie, Commercial Manager at Ospreys Rugby, welcomed the announcement saying:

“WPS Financial Group, through Bevan & Buckland Wealth Management, are an integral part of our day-to-day activities here at the Ospreys, providing expert advice to both the business and its employees.

“It’s a relationship that is continuing to go from strength to strength, and their specialist knowledge will enable the Ospreys to thrive off the field. It’s a local business with roots firmly in Ospreylia, which it makes the partnership even more special.

“We look forward to continuing to work closely with Jon, Gareth and the team throughout the coming season and, hopefully, for many more seasons to come.”

The announcement of this new deal comes after the Ospreys have confirmed two new front of jersey sponsors for the coming season. Broadcaster BT Sport will feature across the chest of the new home shirt, with OSTC FX, another multi-million pound Swansea based business on the chest of the away jersey.

The 2014/15 shirt, manufactured by BLK, will be unveiled by the Ospreys on Friday 8th August.
